FLASHCARDS for Self-Study

Students may print out this set of flashcards, or receive the cards from the teacher. The cards come with the word, its usage, and an example on one side. On the other side, students are encouraged to write a translation of the word and an example of their own.

Activity #1: The student reads the English word, then says the word in his/her native tongue. He/She continues through all of the flashcards. The student then flips the cards, reads the translated word, and says the word in English. Again, the student continues through all of the cards. The student should strive to improve his/her speed each time.

Activity #2: The student reads the English sentence, then provides a translation in his/her native tongue. He/She continues through all of the flashcards. The student then flips the cards, reads his/her original sentence, and provides a translation in his/her native tongue. Again, the student continues through all of the cards. The student should strive to improve his/her speed each time.
